Trayectoria.

Bruno y Marcelo Ceretto son los propietarios de una de las bodegas más punteras de las DOCG Barbaresco y Barolo. La filosofía del “vino de finca” se constata en la gran diversidad de pagos y bodegas que poseen en el Piemonte. En Bricco Rocche elabora sus más preciados y unos de los más cotizados Barolos, y en Bricco Asili sus reputados Barbarescos. Los vinos de Ceretto transmiten la tradición muy bien combinada con una elegante modernidad. En el año 1930 Ricardo Ceretto fundó la Casa Vinicola Ceretto, que actualmente constituye uno de los núcleos de la Aziende Agricole familiar. En 1960 sus hijos Bruno y Marcelo tomaron las riendas del negocio y lo posicionaron en la élite del país. El objetivo era elaborar vinos que transmitieran la tipicidad de su origen. Poco a poco y descubriendo los mejores viñedos, fueron comprando terrenos. En 1970 adquirieron Bricco Asili en Barbaresco mientras que Bricco Rocche nació en Barolo, entre 1977 y 1982, con una bodega ultramoderna. Historia.

Antes de 1894, las uvas Nebbiolo se vendían para hacer vino Barolo, o simplemente se etiquetaban como "Nebbiolo di Barbaresco". Origen.

Hay varias teorías sobre el origen del nombre de esta uva, una sería la palabra nebbia, que significa “niebla”, y hace referencia a la que se postra sobre las colinas de la región del Langhe, en el noroeste de Italia, durante el tiempo de la cosecha. Características.

En la bodega es delicada, muy propensa a la oxidación, la cual cambia su color, y puede perder sus aromas frutales. Zonas de cultivo.

La uva nebbiolo no es tan viajera como la merlot o la chardonnay; es decir, no la encontramos por todo el mundo. Fuera de su natal Italia, sólo en alguna parte de California, como por ejemplo en Napa Valley, y en el Valle de Guadalupe, en México, podemos probar cierta cantidad de vinos hechos con esta uva.
