Breve historia.

Se dice que Moulis toma su nombre de la presencia de molinos en su territorio. El viñedo está atestiguado desde el siglo XIII y sabemos que la viña fue establecida en Moulis desde la Edad Media por propietarios feudales y por una comunidad religiosa cuya iglesia románica da fe de la existencia y la importancia. Pero la reputación de los vinos Moulis se estableció en la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII, a raíz de los grandes líderes del Haut-Médoc, con la política de libre comercio del Segundo Imperio y las relaciones privilegiadas entre Napoleón III y la Reina Victoria.
