La bodega.

La bodega estaba ubicada en el centro histórico de Serralunga d'Alba, en el pasado, era una pequeña bodega. A mediados de la década de 1930 nos "mudamos", si podemos decirlo, al otro lado del único camino que cruza el pueblo de Serralunga, ubicado en la cima de una de las colinas más hermosas de Langhe, en el Piamonte. En el bajo la casa familiar, organizamos el primer departamento de vinificación y envejecimiento del vino. Al pasar de los años, los tiempos cambian y poco a poco hemos tenido la suerte de poder seguir exclusivamente nuestra pasión, dedicando todas nuestras energías a la producción de uvas y vino. Todo el crecimiento que ha experimentado la bodega, siempre se han llevado a cabo de conformidad con la fantástica armonía del pueblo medieval de Serralunga d'Alba, definido como uno de los pueblos más bellos de Italia. Con tenaz obstinación, no queríamos abandonar el centro histórico y cualquier ampliación adicional se hizo bajo tierra , donde nuestros vinos pueden "nacer" y refinarse en condiciones óptimas. Hoy, gracias a la finalización del ambicioso proyecto de renovación, que aún mantiene la estructura histórica de la casa patriarcal, estamos haciendo realidad otro de nuestros sueños: Tener los espacios necesarios para acoger y dar la bienvenida a todos aquellos que nos quieran visitar y que se sientan como en su casa.

Descripción.

D.O.C.G. Moscato d'Asti es la denominación de origen que distingue al famoso moscato del Piamonte, uno de los vinos más apreciados en Italia. Aunque la cuna de esta zona de producción es la ciudad de Asti, ésta abarca además cerca de 50 municipios de las provincias de Cuneo, Asti y Alessandria, sumando 9.700 hectáreas de viñedo de la variedad moscato, también conocida como moscatel de grano menudo. El moscato d’Asti nacido de esas uvas es un blanco dulce, de bajo grado alcohólico, notable frescura y elegantes aromas florales y de fruta de hueso, que suele ser el acompañante perfecto para todo tipo de postres. Dentro de la misma D.O.C.G. también figura el Asti spumante, un espumoso dulce, que con el prosecco y el lambrusco, es el vino elaborado en Italia más exportado. El Moscato d’Asti se caracteriza por su denominación de origen controlada garantizada, de ahí que su etiqueta lleve las siglas D.O.C.G., que es garante del rigor de los métodos de producción y de la alta calidad de la uva Moscato Bianco que se usa en su elaboración. Esta uva se ha venido cosechando en el Piemonte por cientos de años, donde los viñedos cubren un área de 9.700 hectáreas en los montes a lo largo del río Tanaro. Estos montes de formas alargadas o redondeadas han sido declarados por la UNESCO como Herencia para la Humanidad. En estos cerros hay 52 comunidades donde se elabora el Moscato d’Asti usando solo las mejores uvas. Estas comunidades están localizadas en las provincias de Asti, Alessandria, y Cuneo. El área fue demarcada en 1932 e incluye 52 municipios ubicados en los territorios de las provincias de Alessandria, Asti y Cuneo. El área total del viñedo de moscatel blanco es de aproximadamente 9700 hectáreas, y más de 4000 empresas están involucradas en la producción. Al igual que ASTI Dolce Docg, es el portador de una historia completamente italiana, hecha de gestos impecables, respeto por la tradición y mejoras constantes. Conocer el MOSCATO d'ASTI en todas sus notas significa no dejarlo nunca más. Conviértalo en un compañero para los momentos más especiales pero no solo. Para los agricultores que trabajaban la tierra, por ejemplo, era el mejor vino para combinar con una merienda salada genuina. Dulce, pero no empalagoso, tiene un aroma inimitable, un sabor delicado e intenso, que recuerda a las glicinias y tilos, duraznos y albaricoques con toques de salvia, limón y azahar. Un verdadero vino tradicional que, con el tiempo, ha alcanzado niveles de calidad extraordinarios también gracias a la difusión de la tecnología moderna. En particular, el vinculado a la cadena de frío, que permitió mantener los aromas y sabores de las uvas en el vino y estabilizar el producto, permitiendo su conservación y transporte. Este vino tiene un componente aromático intenso en armonía con ese azúcar y un bajo contenido de alcohol que lo hace único. En un nivel de producción, difiere de Asti docg sobre todo para la fermentación, que se detiene cuando se alcanza el contenido de alcohol de aproximadamente 5% vol. Además, Moscato d'Asti, aunque no es un vino espumoso, mantiene una vivacidad que lo hace inconfundible. El MOSCATO d'ASTI Docg está sujeto a los mismos controles que los de Asti Spumante. Con el documento, el Consorcio también estableció el Consejo del MOSCATO d'ASTI Docg para proteger el producto de las imitaciones, aumentar su nivel de calidad y mejorar su imagen.
