La bodega Dartigalongue puede ostentar con orgullo el título de productor más antiguo de Bas Armagnac en la historia, remontando sus orígenes al período del reinado de Louis-Philippe, allá por 1838 para ser precisos. A finales de la década de 1930, el fundador Pascal Dartigalongue fundó la maison en Nogaro, en el corazón de la región de Gascogne, en el suroeste de Francia, y luego compró los viñedos en los años setenta del siglo XIX. "Lacroutz" de Salles d'Armagnac, que todavía pertenece a la compañía. El trabajo de la empresa comienza, sin embargo, desde el trabajo entre las filas, donde las plantas se crían con cuidado, método y rigor, en pleno respeto del medio ambiente, la naturaleza y el ecosistema. Actualmente la bodega pertenece y es administrada por generaciones sucesivas que vinieron después de Pascal Dartigalongue, pero los métodos de producción permanecieron los de una época, estrictamente legal para las tradiciones locales. En los mejores años, como siempre, se siguen produciendo destilados de millesimati, que junto con los otros destilados, constituyen una gama de etiquetas del más alto nivel, sin duda entre las más prestigiosas que se pueden encontrar en toda la región francesa de Bas Armagnac.
