Inspirado en los tradicionales rituales mayas, ha sido creado por la maestra mezcladora Lorena Vázquez, quien desarrolló el sistema de envejecimiento en solera de la marca. Desde la caña de azúcar hasta el sistema de añejamiento en la House Above the Clouds (casa por encima de las nubes), a 2.300 metros sobre el nivel del mar, todo forma parte de la magia. El ron se ha envejecido en barricas de roble americano doblemente tostadas que le dan un color oscuro, una gran intensidad ahumada, y acentúa las notas de madera y especiadas del destilado. De color caoba profundo, tiene un intenso brillo ámbar. En nariz se aprecian notas de frutas caramelizadas, ciruelas y pasas, mientras que en boca es sabroso con notas ahumadas, de chocolate y de frutos secos. Un ron denso y bien equilibrado, que expresa la herencia y cultura de Guatemala. Tomar solo con hielo o para cócteles de alta expresión (de trago corto y con carácter). |
