Actualmente la empresa, que llegó a ser una multinacional, es parte del grupo Martini-Bacardi. Además de su vermut, Martini es conocida en el mundo entero por sus patrocinios en deportes y cultura. Todo comenzó cuando Alessandro Martini, un astuto empresario italiano, y Luigi Rossi, un maestro en licores, crearon Martini & Rossi que, desde el año 1993, es parte del grupo internacional Bacardi-Martini. La empresa fue fundada en el año 1863 junto con el nacimiento del Martini Rosso, un vermut que ya tiene más de un siglo de historia.
