La producción consiste en alrededor de dos tercios de vino blanco y un tercio de vino tinto, que se produce principalmente en la parte sur de la comuna, en dirección a Santenay. Hay tres viñedos Grand Cru dentro de Chassagne-Montrachet, Montrachet el más conocido, y 50 viñedos Premier Cru.
